10/16/2018 0 Comments Calling All Basic WitchesThis cool, crisp weather that has fallen over the QC area as of late evokes feelings of comfort, warmth & nostalgia. Typically, the flavors that accompany these cooler temps consist of warm spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, cayenne & paprika as well as any types of dry herbs that will last through the cold, winter months. Pumpkin anything & everything is also a given - especially seeing the popularity of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Here at Baked, we try our best to incorporate seasonal flavors & in season fruits & vegetables into our baked goods, menus, chef features & events. Our cocktail menu is no exception. Now that our new, Fall cocktail menu has been jiving for a few weeks there has been a several stand out all stars. The Basic White Witch - a pumpkin spice cocktail definitely being one of them! If we had a dollar for every time someone asked us for a recipe...let's just say we would have a lot of dollars.
This is a great recipe to serve warm for a yummy spiked White Hot Cocoa style cocktail! It would be great to enjoy next to a bonfire or while huddled up on the couch on a chilly fall evening. You all have asked & we have delivered! Here it is folks! Basic White Witch Cocktail 0.5oz Kahlua 1oz Vanilla Vodka Top with Pumpkin Spice Creamer (you can purchase this or make your own. Add 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp allspice to half & half) 1/4 Tablespoon Pumpkin Puree Serve warm or cold & top with whipped cream & your choice of roasted pumpkin seeds, caramel drizzle, a dusting of cinnamon or white chocolate shavings. And if you need a sweet treat to accompany your cocktail - we have Pumpkin cake balls in store right now! Expect more delicious Halloween & fall goodies hitting the bakery shelves this week!
